SAFETY ALERT

Dear Client

Just a quick note to make you aware of a new safety alert issued by JLG for certain ECO and PECO low-level access lifts often used on fit-out and construction projects.

JLG has identified a potential issue with the crank handle, which in rare cases can cause the platform to raise on its own. They've released Field Service Bulletin 125D1E (13 October 2025) covering the affected models:

  • EcoLift
  • EcoLift WR
  • EcoLift 50
  • EcoLift 70
  • PecoLift

The bulletin includes a full list of affected serial numbers and explains the fix – a replacement crank handle (Kit #2890347) that must be fitted by a JLG-approved service provider.

Affected lifts can remain in use only until their next service or for 60 days from the bulletin date, whichever comes first.

If any lift moves unexpectedly or behaves oddly, it should be taken out of use and reported straight away.

What MLA is doing:

Our team is now being more vigilant when we see ECO or PECO lifts on site.

We'll do our best to note any potentially affected models within the email that accompanies our inspection reports, so it's clear to your team if a follow-up check with your hire provider is needed.

We'd also encourage you to review any ECO or PECO lifts currently on site or in storage, and confirm with your supplier that they're not part of the affected batch or that the replacement work has been completed.
